If the devil is in the detail, somebody may want to check Dion Lee for horns and/or a pointy tail.
Up close, you can intuit the lazer-like precision with which the Australian fashion designer forms and finishes silk and suede. His current collection (Spring ’16 in accord with the Northern hemisphere), is sliced into ventilated ruffles, netting and ribbons, plaited into a chunky weave and fluidly self-belted.
The result is, rather than devilish, actually quite divine.
Dion Lee was honoured with the Grand Showcase at the 2016 Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
